Tiny Home Kitchen Essentials

This is by far my favorite part of the home. I love to cook, and even if you are the type that may rely on a fire alarm instead of a kitchen timer (me)- this is still an area of the home you want to give a lot of love. Nothing is more frustrating than trying to prepare a meal in a poorly designed kitchen. We know space is limited but here are some items that can make your life a little easier (and maybe a little tastier).

These links are affiliated with Amazon, but are products that we’ve used and stand by. We hope you enjoy - share with us if you choose to try them in your tiny home.

Vertical Storage

Leveraging all of your space, especially vertically, is crucial to maximizing your storage opportunities.

We love hanging racks because it adds storage without taking up much space, not to mention a bit of elegance.

Peel and Stick Backsplash

Peel and stick tile is a great option for mobile living. Since it’s flexible it works well with curved walls such as those in Airstreams and sprinter vans.

They are very lightweight when compared to traditional tile or wood panel options. It also has added protection against water damage and mold because of the materials and lack of traditional grout. Not to mention it’s a great design option for those on a budget or who like to change up their space frequently!

Adjustable Slide Out Drawer Organizer

Perfect for all your tight spaces, these adjustable width organizers make it easy to access all your kitchen essentials.

With easy, peel and stick installation you can update your kitchen in minutes.

Filtered Water Facuet

When you’re on the road, it can be tricky to make sure you and your family have access to clean, drinkable water.

The Waterdrop Under Sink Water Filtration System uses innovative multistage filtration. And it can effectively reduces PFAS, PFOA/PFOS, chlorine, heavy metals, chemical iṁpurity, sediment and other large particles. Save plastic with a filtered water system!

Task Lighting

Rechargeable, easy to mount, and built-in motion sensor…what more could you ask for in your task lighting!

We have used these lights in so many trailers because they are perfect for closets, drawers, and under cabinets. There are so many opportunities to light up your space! Highly recommend.

Cabinet Locks

When you’re on the road you can’t always control your terrain. And with bumpy roads, comes open doors. That’s why we always recommend some kind of lock for your cabinets and drawers.

We’ve tried magnets and plastic interior latches, and both seem to come up short. Either breaking easily or not being stronger enough. So after many a trial and error, our favorite option is the push to open cabinet locks that truly ensure that you’re doors stay in place until you’re ready to open them.

Hopefully you find something that helps elevate your space, or at least gives you some inspiration for your tiny or mobile kitchen.

And don’t forget, if you're looking to build or design a tiny home, custom camper, or sprinter vans we offer free consultations and can be reached at info@woodandlocks.com
